Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to every course and programme offered by Phonics Funland. Please read them before paying a fee. By submitting our enrolment form, paying a course fee or attending a paid class, you (the parent or guardian) confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms on behalf of your child.

Who we are & acceptance of these terms

  • Phonics Funland is a sole proprietorship run by Juhi Shadija, based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
  • Enrolment must be made by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years old. You enrol on behalf of your child and are responsible for your child’s participation.
  • Submitting our enrolment form, paying a fee or attending a paid class means you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not submit the form or pay the fee.

Programme & duration

  • Core courses (Junior Readers, Spoken English, Grammar Course) each include 40 live classes, held 3 times a week, 1 hour per class in group batches. One-to-One classes are 45 minutes per class.
  • Junior Readers (Mon / Wed / Fri, 6 – 7 PM) and Confident Readers (5 – 6 PM or 7 – 8 PM batches) each run for 3 months, 3 days a week, 1 hour per class. Phonics Teachers’ Training runs for 3 days, 2 hours a day, and includes a certificate.
  • All classes are live and interactive, held online on Google Meet. Classes are not pre-recorded.
  • Your class days and time slot are agreed at enrolment. Changes to the slot are possible only if a suitable alternative is available.
  • All workbooks, activity books, worksheets and PDFs provided with a course are included in the course fee, with no extra charge. They are for the enrolled child only.

Free call before you enrol

  • Before enrolling, you can pre-book a free 15-minute phone call with Juhi to talk about your child and choose the right course. No payment is needed.
  • Please make your decision before you pay. Once the payment is made or registration is done, the fee is non-refundable (see section 5).

Fees & payment

  • How to enrol: pre-book a free call with Juhi, choose your course and class slot, fill in our online enrolment form and accept these terms, then pay the full fee. Your seat is confirmed only once payment is received.
  • The full course fee must be paid before the first paid class. We accept UPI and bank transfer. Your slot is confirmed only after payment is received.
  • Fees are as listed on our website at the time of enrolment (currently ₹7,000 for each core course, ₹7,000 each for Junior Readers and Confident Readers (3 months), ₹2,500 for the 1-Month Bootcamp (4 weeks), ₹1,500 for Phonics Teachers’ Training, ₹699 for the 8-week Weekend Bootcamp and ₹12,000 for 3 months of One-to-One classes). Fees are paid in full before the first class. Prices may change for future batches.
  • The fee is a one-time payment that covers the whole programme, including the learning materials. We do not offer instalments.
  • Please keep your payment confirmation. We will acknowledge every payment on WhatsApp.
Key policy

Refund & cancellation policy

  • Fees already paid are non-refundable once payment is made or registration is done, whichever comes first. Registration is done when you submit the enrolment form; a seat is confirmed only after payment is received.
  • No refund is given for unused classes, change of mind, a schedule clash, travel, or stopping midway through the course.
  • If the child cannot continue, the fee already paid may be transferred to a sibling or friend instead of refunded. A child may start classes at any time after paying; class days and times are agreed at enrolment.
  • If your child is not responding to the classes: please tell us as soon as you notice this. Before any decision to stop the course, we will hold one final class with your child present and share honest feedback and a recommended next step. The fee remains non-refundable.
  • The only exception: if Phonics Funland cancels a course or batch entirely before it begins, your fee will be refunded in full within 7 working days.

Course validity, attendance & rescheduling

  • The 40 classes of a core course must be completed within 6 months of the first class. Classes not used within this period lapse and are not refunded or carried forward.
  • Regular group classes: up to 2 make-up classes per month are available for missed classes. Please tell us at least 24 hours before the class so we can arrange an available make-up slot.
  • Bootcamps: one make-up class is available per bootcamp. Please tell us at least 24 hours before the class so we can arrange an available make-up slot. Once a child has started, the bootcamp and its make-up cannot be extended or carried into the next month.
  • One-to-One classes: send a WhatsApp message to +91 96111 05284 at least 24 hours before the class start time to arrange a make-up class. You can also book a make-up class online at cal.com/phonics-funland/makeup-class.
  • A missed class with less than 24 hours’ notice or no notice counts as taken. A no-show, or arriving over 10 minutes late without telling us, also counts as a class used.
  • If Phonics Funland cancels a class for any reason, that class is always rescheduled at no extra cost.
  • A parent or adult must make sure the child joins on time with a working device, camera, microphone and internet connection. Time lost due to problems at your end is not made up.

Photos & videos

  • We will not use photos or clips showing your child’s face or name on Phonics Funland social media without your written permission. You can say no and still enrol. You may withdraw permission for future use at any time.

Conduct & learning materials

  • We ask children and parents to be respectful to the teacher and to other children in the class.
  • All worksheets, workbooks, PDFs and class content are the copyright of Phonics Funland. They are for your child’s personal use only and may not be copied, resold, shared or posted online.
  • Phonics Funland may end an enrolment without refund in cases of repeated disruptive behaviour or misuse of our materials.

Learning outcomes

  • Every child learns at a different pace. We commit to teaching with care and consistency, but we cannot guarantee a particular result, reading level or school outcome.
  • Regular attendance and practice at home with the materials provided make the biggest difference to progress.

Changes, governing law & contact

  • We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version. Changes apply to enrolments made after that date.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
